LR047 – Monsters of West Virginia w/ John Magnifico

Jason Dinges Lost Rhetoric, Podcast Leave a Comment

John Magnifico from Twelve Hour Turn, Old Growth  & Old Junior joins me to discuss his home state of West Virginia & a few weird monsters known to be lurking in the woods there.  He grew up in Grafton, a town known for inventing Mother’s Day (Happy Mother’s Day!) but also known for a massive, carnivorous being called The Grafton Monster.  We discuss the lore behind it & we also dip into the Flatwoods Monster & mention a few more sketchy, stank ass creatures seen throughout the state along the way.  Turns out Wild, Wonderful & Weird West Virginia has a lot of creepy cryptids to keep an eye out for.  Stick around cause at the end of the show I play some snippets from the upcoming Old Growth record!
